Open House/Summer Update

Hello Hickory Center Families!

Every year when I write this message, it feels crazy that we are already talking about Open House but, yet again, here we are. Staff has been and will continue to be in the building all summer preparing it for the 2024-2025 school year, and we are excited to see all of our returning families and welcome all of our new families to our HC family!

Open House will take place on Monday, August 5th from 5:00-6:30. This is a time for you to bring your children to school to meet their teachers, drop off school supplies, tour the building, get information on PTO, hand in documents/med forms, and pick up a car rider numbers, if applicable. If you ordered school supply boxes through PTO, you will receive information regarding how/when those will be distributed. 

For Open House, we will again ask that families with the last names beginning with A-K come the first 45 minutes and everyone else come the last 45 minutes. This allows teachers to be able to spend ample time meeting each family. If you have more than one last name in your family, or if you cannot make the requested time period, feel free to come when it works for you. 

Again, just a reminder for those who haven't registered online yet, please do so ASAP. Also, please let us know if you are NOT coming back to HC. If you need help with online registration, we will have computers set up to help you on July 25th from 12 to 6.

Returning students...if you completed math packets and/or a reading log, these are due to teachers by Friday, August 9th. NO LATE PACKETS/LOGS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you are transferring over from another NACS school, we will accept your work. All NACS schools handed out the same summer work. 

I hope you spend what is left of summer with family and friends to create more good memories!
